Flying longer than the battery allowed caused me to have to land fast!

This is what broke, how I fixed it, and how it flew afterwards.

I used $20 in Parts and $12 for a new Hitec HS 55 "Feather" servo.

Hope you enjoy.
Remember: Everybody crashes r/c's sooner or later, especially if you push the limit on the battery, as I did.

  • hey i love ur vids and have subscribed but whered you get the orange pontunes and how much were they?

  • Thanks very kindly. See my Video "Stealth Helicopters, You cant fly them if you cant see them", for all about those pontoons.

  • Hi Dave, de javu or wot, i had exactly same damage 2 my 400, but 4 sum reason after repairing it can not get swashplate 2 raise n lower level wen operating collective! Gone over n over manual 2 no avail. Any suggestions?? Russell. Gr8 vids, learnin so much.. Keep em comin..

  • Is the throttle hold switch on or off?

  • Thanx 4 replyin so quick, prob solved now. Do u know much bout the phoenix flt sim, @ full throttle alot of the helis r barely lifting off the ground.. Thanx again Dave..

  • Re calibrate your transmitter in the program, is what I would do. Make sure your throttle trim switch is all the way down, when you calibrate, then when you fly, you can move it up and see if that works.

  • @NightFlyer Did the heli come with that transmitter?

  • Great video.. very helpful. I just moved up to a V400D02, and have a vibration on spool up I'm chasing, wondered about the feather shaft screws in the blade grips...mine will turn, but I didnt realize you had to hold one to realease the other, I wasnt sure if I have something loose on the head. This helped. Thanks.

  • ya know dave the easy way to do the shaft is to screw a old fly bar or a treaded rod in to the old fethering shaft. and just push it trough. this way no parts come out of place then just pull the new one back in to place. ..

  • hey nightflyyer which rotorblades are better for the blade 400? 315 original blades or the 325mm blades like you have?

  • dont forget thread lock when remounting blade grips. my blades came off in a hobby store.

  • @BrettLovesLlama You shouldn't keep trying to fly up a Niggers ass.

  • One time I was flying my honey bee king 2 in 3D and it was pretty sketchy flying with a bad servo and I came out of a loop and went straight into the ground. It exploded into a million pieces. Turned out my bad servo's arm was grinding against the motor which is why I couldn't pull up fully. I have no money so hopefully I'll get a new one for Christmas cause the parts I broke would cost as much as a new heli. Broken parts: snapped tail boom, shredded canopy, three more broken servos, shredded b
