Sahasrara chakra (Crown Energy Center)
This thousand petalled center known as the Sahasrara chakra is the most important center situated in the brain's limbic area. There are one thousand nerve endings in the limbic area, a transverse section shows these nerves beautifully arranged in a petal-like structure, to form a lotus of one thousand petals.
When the kundalini rises and pierces this center, she awakens all the nerves, thus enlightening every nerve center and we say the person is an enlightened soul. The kundalini further pierces the fontanelle bone area and opens a gateway into the cosmos and we experience this as cool breeze emanating from the head. This is the actualization of the Union (Self-realization) with the All-pervading Power of Divine.
Our complete subtle instrument is integrated in the Sahasrara chakra. Each chakra has its seat. As our attention and our kundalini rise to the Sahasrara chakra, we enter into a new dimension of consciousness. We go beyond the relative to the absolute. We rise beyond the past, present and future into a timeless state and experience the inner joy and bliss of the divine. This is a heavenly place far beyond our imagination.
On the 5th of May 1970, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi opened the Sahasrara chakra on the collective level. She has developed a gentle method by which the kundalini can be awakened through her love. Through kundalini awakening, it has become possible for all those seeking the truth to experience the All-pervading Power of the universe and to communicate and share this joy with others.
