I never had the chance to see this genius live, but he was due to play at reading festival and pulled out and then.. he was gone. The only rock star I so far have ever shed tears for when he died. This song moves me even today. We never had the chance to see our real rock stars much on rotten british telly back then and to eventually get on line and see this stuff is earthshattering and very moving. Pity he hadnt been a shit in his life then he would still be plastered over the british press.
great to see this, even though aalex was drunk,i saw his last gig in england {hull} and he was ace .if anyone can help me obtain any dvds of any era {besides the easily obtained ones, please pm me, thanks for posting this concert

"Roman Wall Blues" LIVE ( or "Soldier On The Wall") ! I never thought I'd ever get to see Scotland's Greatest Ever National Treasure perform this.
I have the original LP from early in Alex's career. Wonderful to see this clip from near the end of his career.
Thank you so very much. Utterly Wondrous.
