Using their expertise in audio software, the Guitar Zeros have manipulated Guitar Hero controllers to play synthesized sounds, and they're ready to play at a venue near you. Hear how they did it and watch them perform.

  • A guitar hero controller into a keytar? im not surprised.

Good work though. You just turned a controller into a real instrument

  • 240p we meet again....

  • As for the people saying Max isn't programming - it produces a product or application by arranging script to do what you want - options are fairly limitless - So essentially it's a 'language' that can build a programe.

  • As a University music student I really appreciate this work. A debate about guitar being better than midi controll is really friverlouse. The only real connection to a guitar is the shape of the controllor - this action script with max could be transfered to any controller and hence the binary concept is quite inspireing. For the people calling this a gimmic - you clearly don't understand music culture or theory - Postmodern diction suggests this stands in it's own right -personalopinons aside

  • its cool as hell, but i think guitar sounds so much better, and guitars are just sick to be able to play

  • @logipi79 Way to discover the secret; All musical instruments and just giant pitch-shifting devices. A midi controller or synth with realistic enough sounds would fool the human ear. The devices to do this already essentially exist, but assembling them in a controller that can do all a guitar can as easily as a guitar can is hard. Especially to do it cheap enough to turn into a game that people can afford. The guitar hero guitar as it is in just an inefficient place to start. Cool though.

  • @kelechi96 this

  • @xikliimaxx Calling Action Script a programming language is like calling a toy car an F1 race car.

  • maybe make a band with real instruments. maybe youll get laid.

  • the singer is awful hahahaha
