Tips:
Get your racket in the ready position.
Load your back leg.
Use your non-racket arm for balance and positioning.
Rotate your hips using core.
Keep your elbow forward.
Make sure you are behind the shuttle so when the racket comes through, you hit the shuttle in a downward trajectory.
Use forearm rotation.
Snap your wrist.
Follow through and recover.

Yes, that is how you do a flat smash, but the angle is gone which makes this smash not as effective, especially when playing doubles.. you will get punished for this shot!
For singles point the elbow up as high as you can.
