Swift Engineering is developing the Killer Bee blended wing-body unmanned air vehicle and produced this video animation of the cool-looking UAV on an armed anti-IED mission. Swift also designs and builds racing cars.
the sensors are probably being done by raytheon or northrop. swift packages their UAV with the launch trailer, my guess it's about $1million. it's built to tier 2 standards so it's more capable than the first generation of UAV's.
what about firing a magnetic wave into the area the return signals would be able to determine what types of chemicals are in the area.. once detection is made efforts can be made to jam or destroy them..
its a UAV and it is quite small, so I would assume it is. That and I think IED destroying is only one of the missions it could carry, I bet this thing I nice for CAS and Recon.
Cash Cow. Works perfectly in simulation and lab. If only CAS was that scripted, and had a soundtrack. Sorry man, I prefer manned CAS shooters,

We're obviously not pulling out of Iraq or Afghanistan.

UAV's can scan the area for hours..

probably elevons (google) and rudders

very cool, but is it affordable? anti-ied technologies need to do be more effective at detecting than this. ("one less" isn't good enough)

What control surfaces does it use?
