Did you guys even listen to Rob Zombie? in his interviews he even says he based Otis off Charles Manson. The long hair/beard and of course those eyes.

Maybe it seems pointless to you in the "whole scheme of things" ... But for the purposes of a Discussion Board and for people to discuss their opinions, thoughts, etc on a subject, then it's not pointless. I consider Manson to be a undeserving pop culture icon. He is a small, uneducated, illiterate, professional criminal who had delusions of grandeur ... When people talk about Manson like he's some kind of folk hero, it grosses me out. Otis' character is a true bad ass! ...

It was for the sake of discussion/argument. Not that I'm seriously trying to compare a character to a real person. Just pointing out what stood out as their major differences. And as far as physical characteristics go, Otis Driftwood was portrayed by a real man - Bill Moselely ... So, perhaps I should be comparing Manson to him :)

@remsensor I agree ... Charles Manson persuaded others to kill for him. He wasn't bad-ass enough to do it himself ... Otis Driftwood is TALL and BUILT, unlike Manson's short, slight little self. Otis is a REAL man, whereas Charles Manson WISHED he were a real man. Manson only had delusions of grandeur and he was very persuasive over weak-minded and gullible people. Otis Driftwood is the SHIZZ! ...
