The game was a blow out for Fairfax because both transfers for San Diego High (who came from Oklahoma and Temecula) were declared ineligible and never played for San Diego High. And the head coach for San Diego high was fired before this game for the recruiting scandal.

This was the second time Sidney and Tyler played against each other in a high school game; the other game in Florida Renardo Sidney shutout Jeremy Tyler a year before. Tyler left school as a junior to play in europe (Israel).
