  • NOTE TO ALL NEW PEOPLE WITH VITILIGO:

To my knowledge, there is no ill effect that comes with Vitiligo, unless you consider color patches bad. I have had it my whole life and do not have any other conditions that can be traced back to it.

Also, don't try so quickly to change yourself or the other person you know with Vitiligo. In ways, Vitiligo has actually HELPED me. It is a great conversation starter, and has helped me make friends that I have had for ages.

  • hey buddy i just looking up vitiligo and saw your video. yea like i feel the same way about it to. but the thing that sucks for me is that i got it on my area and only there so i was just wondering what i could say to my girl cause shes been asking me what it was and i just keep telling her there birth marks so she doesnt think its contagious er anything bad like a std. should i tell her what it really is er just stick with that same story?

  • @TMNT34 I think you should tell her what it really is. If you are going to have a healthy relationship, then you shouldn't keep secrets whenever possible; They might come back and haunt you.

  • hello,

my sister was recently diagnosed with vitilgo, shes only 10 so she doesnt undersand how severe vitiligo can be.its been only 6 months and it has spread all over her knees, feet, and its starting on her hands and underarms.im realy worried that she will start to feel different and ashamed of her have vitiligo.what can i say or do to prevent that from happening.how can i make it seem like its no big deal.any advice?and i really appreciate this video and may god be with you.

  • @missN1995 I always like to say that God gave me a custom paint job. At her age, some people tease, but that decreases greatly over time. I am a sophomore in High School and people rarely if ever ask anymore. Is she getting dark or light patches? If they are light patches, just have her wear sunscreen much more often, as sunburning is frequent. Other than that, I don't have much advice other than tell her that if people really respect her, they'd look at the inside, not the outside. ~Anthony

  • @atherrien95 well some of her patches are lighter than others.she started light/laser treatment about 3 weeks ago but still not results, also she has this ointment that we apply for her 3 times a day.i have done some research about a vitiligo diet and it said that she cant eat red meat, dairy products, citrus friuts,or anything with vitamin c.do you follow this diet?what treatments have you had?what worked best for you?

  • @missN1995 When I was two, we tried the ointment and UV treatments, which made me sick, so we stopped those. My skin coloration settled when I was about three and hasn't changed since; I am now 15 and happy the way I am...I can't picture myself any other way!. My advice would be to just let her be, let her eat red meat, citrus, vitamin c, etc. Just because she has different colored skin doesn't mean she should be limited. Most treatments for Vitiligo fail anyways.

  • Great video man, you should be very proud of yourself :)

  • 1:02 you are funny as hell, man !!!!! Naw Bitch I'm in pain !!!!

  • hey I have had vitiligo too, I got it when I was six and it was the hardest thing. I'm 23 now and its apart of me, I don't think I'd ever want to change the fact of what I have. I read an earlier comment you posted to someone when you gave advice for their 10 year old sister, you said you were proud of who you were, thats good. you should be proud and you shouldn't be limited as to what you can do. Kudos to you for making this video, I think its beneficial for everyone.

  • dude youre awesome! i have vitiligo as well. that is all. :)

  • Hey dude!, I am from India, I too got this vitiligo when I was in 9th grade. I did not take any medicine, I used to spent lot of time under sun and I have forgotten the taste of citrus and lemon... recently I visited a doctor named Elizabeth in bangalore at St.Jhons Hospital. I started UVB treatment. I would say its getting better and the white hairs at the affected areas started to get black. I am using two anti-vitiligo creams... It gets better.... Hope it helps for some one...

  • If you have vitiligo and you feel ashamed of your self its gonna get worst!

There are worst things in this world, so dont be embarrassed of your self.

People might look at you but thats natural, i do the same thing with people that look different. Just live life to the fullest no matter what.

  • thanks for sharing :) your awesome!!!!
