Known for her Pin-up pictures and movies she was one of the GI's favorites along with Dinah Shore, Betty Grable, and towards the end of the war Marilyn Maxwell.
She can realy sing but for some strange reason they used a voice over in more than two of her movies. But later they let her do her own singing. She did all her own singing in "The Heat Is On" which is were the same movie soundtrack were I got this song I used in this video.
To many a GI Rita Hayworth was the answer to the question: What Are We Fighting For? She was one of the best moral boosters of that time.
Rita Hayworth was born on 17 October 1918 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. And she died of Altzheimers on 14 May 1987 in New York, New York, USA.
