This is the story about an important to the local agricultural heritage Museum, located in Makryotika, Kefalonia, Greece.
This museum is a restored oil press facility, built in the early 20th century, surviving the devastating earthquake of 1953. It contributed, with all other local facilities, to the economical growth of its vicinity, up to the late '70s.
Locals, who worked there, presented their experiences, of how they should manage the facility, working conditions, local stories or memories. Writer R. Moustaki presented local details, while writer A. Debonos recalled historical evidence of the whole Kefalonia island agricultural tradition, which was running over the last centuries, since the Venetian times.
This video was produced for the Municipality of Pylaros, which holds the rights.
