Time to buy a faggot camera like a nikon?

The shutter looks like its fine, its firing, right? So its prolly a software issue - or something else- for instance, you note that the shutter does nothing, well, try putting a battery grip on it, maybe some piece of fluff or software confusion is making it think that the battery grip trigger is depressed (even though it isnt there)
Like, sometimes when I play counterstrike, or other games, my PC gets confused and thinks I'm pressing forward, or sideways, even though I'm not.

Hi Matt, have you gound the solution to the problem yet? I have an EOS 20D (Date of Purchase: 26th June 2005) doing the same and if you found the solution it would be nice to hear where I can try to correct it.

man spray some switch cleaner on ya button then keep pushing it.. it will clear eventualy

The Shutter went out which the shutter needs to be replaced.

It's an error that the camera isn't programmed to recognise specifically.

Remove battery, remove cf card, then put them back in. It solves the problem for me

You can't, I just kept a count on how many 10's of thousands I had taken each time the file # reset.
