Mario Lanza is a phenomena of the 20th century. Nobody can sing like him. We cannot compare him to anybody else, because there is nobody like him.....

There is something about his voice color and his interpretation that are totally unique. The strength and finesse are so beautifully blended! The most amazing characteristics of his singing though, in my opinion, are the gorgeous color changes and the broad, heartfelt, generous phrasing that never ceases to move you.
