Yea you should get involved if you don't know what you are doing. Don't just jump in research. Most people watch flip this house and think that they can do it, just to find out later that it is work.

It will say on the posting (the paper or internet listing). Plus, your Realtor will tell you. You hire a Realtor to make the transaction for you. If it's a foreclosure, though, you CAN go through the seller's Realtor (the bank's Realtor).

Buying foreclosures is a complete scam right now! They're still radically overpriced. For the love of god please just compare the home prices in your area with the incomes! These people are all blowing smoke. Foreclosures are "the last scam" of the housing bubble. These guys selling you on foreclosures were the SAME people selling sketchy loans 2 years ago. One scam after another with these fat lazy salesmen.
