@MisterHuskey Hi, thanks so much for jogging my memory. I now know why I don't know this man's voice, I know all the songs you mentioned but by other artists. I didn't hear any country songs for a long time and unfortunetly, missed some great music. Thank you Mr.Husky. PS, you any kin to Verlon?)))

Don Gibson - - - Whatever he sang -no matter what the song- he sang with heart. Indeed a legend in country music. Thanks for sharing!

@delora33 Oh I'm sure you have at least heard some of the songs he has written. Two that quickly come to mind are "I Can't Stop Loving You" made popular by Ray Charles and "Faded Love" which was a hit for Patsy Cline. I just noticed Don as a solo artist charted 70 songs over his own singing career.
"Oh Lonesome Me" - "Blue, Blue Day" - "Sea of Heartbreak" - the list goes on and on! :)

@MisterHuskey Bob Wills wrote Faded Love. You are probably thinking about Sweet Dreams written by Don Gibson and made popular by Patsy Cline. Besides that I agree with your post.
