This is me doing another scene from the Jetsons meet the Flintstones, I did Mr. Spacely to the best of my ability, but no one will ever be able to do it as good as my hero Mel Blanc did. Enjoy and let me know what you think!

  • no, but i wish to powers that I was, Henry Corden is one of my biggest heroes and he got to work with my greatest hero Frank Welker

  • Do you suppose Mr. Spacely was so mean and nasty to Jetson was because he wanted to see what kind of a man Jetson was if he finally stood up to him. Did Spacely deep dow thin that Jetson had alot of potential or was Spacely just plain nasty and fire Jetson whether he had some backbone or not?

  • @67nairb I think you're looking too far into it, in every show or novel there is a good guy and a bad guy, Hanna and Barbara decided to create these characters to fill those roles, and it shows their traits in such circumstances, and in real life, the voice actors were friends, so in a way when you get right down to it, its only a show and they are only characters in said show. The show is meant to entertain them and make them laugh and happy. Thats what Mel Blanc and George O'Hanlon gave to us.

  • LOL When you say "Hello out there" it sounded like Lorenzo Music you should be the next Garfield! lol

  • If you only knew how right you are on that! I have wanted to be the next garfield since before Bill Murray did those two garfield movies! I want to eventually take over for Frank Welker as Garfield in the future!

  • My life has hit rock bottom-I actually watched this!

  • what's that supposed to mean?

  • R.U.D.I. is the only voice that is a near match. The George Jetson voice is closer sounding to Don Adams. Maybe you should try Tennessee Tuxedo. Spacely's voice is not supposed to be so gravelly. Originally Blanc's voice for Spacely was an imitation of Hal Peary's "Great Gildersleve" character, or more like Foghorn Leghorn withouth the Southern Accent. He was doing Yosemity Sam for the new episodes and Gordon Hunt never corrected. Just don't ruin your vocal chords doing this.

  • @Futurevoiceactor I was never big JETSONS anyway. It never appealed to me the way THE FLINTSTONES and other Hanna-Barbera cartoons did. And btw I love Mel Blanc, he was my favorite cartoon voice actor and still is.

  • @Futurevoiceactor I don't know why I have such issues with Mr. Spacely, but I do-lol. Why do people hate Frank Barrone from EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND so much? Why do they hate Louis DePalma from TAXI, or Nellie Olson from LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE or JR Ewing from DALLAS etc? Sorry, but Spacely is one Hanna-Barbera bad guy I don't like at all. But there are two HB bad guys who I absolutely love, Dick Dastardly & Muttley.

  • @Futurevoiceactor I'm sure George O'Hanlon and Mel Blanc were good friends in real life, that wasn't the point of my post my friend. The point I was making was that Mr. Spacely has always been my least favorite cartoon character, he was pretty bad in the old 60s JETSON'S episodes, but he was alot worse in the 80s versions. He was a mean, nasty, viscous, hateful little man imho and didn't find him funny at all. Perhaps you're right my friend, maybe I am looking too far into it.

  • Are you the current voice of Fred Flintstone?

  • Stereotypical ill tempered bosses who berate and fire their emplyees at will has been a staple in movies, tv and even cartoons for about 80 years. It's so typical and predictable but most audiences like it. But who would want to sit and watch a sitcom, let alone cartoon where a nasty, cruel and malicious boss continues to berate, and verbally abuse their employees and single out one employee for special treatment? People see enough of that in real life.

  • @67nairb I mean holding an employees' "job" in the balance.
