Meteor and ultima - these two spells are intended to be learned in the second world, but I get them here in the first world through hours of leveling at a cave near Thamasa. Celes gets meteor at level 98 and Terra gets ultima at level 99. Other spells are gained beforehand such as pearl (isn't this supposed to be "holy"?), flare (Celes only - at level 81), quartr (Terra only - at level 75), merton (Terra only - at level 86; useless since it targets everything), and a few others. It takes over a dozen total hours to do this at the 180,000 EXP/hour rate (compare the time and gil to my previous "meteor in the first world" video). It's a lame leveling ground - I can watch TV or solve Sudoku puzzles while waiting for things to occur (loading, the attack to take effect, etc.) - very little interaction is needed. It's also safe - enemies won't hit you at all. This video is proof that I have both meteor and ultima in the first world (and it also shows you what levels the others are at - in their 20's!), along with a few other details. At the end, I use meteor and ultima repeatedly against "Intangir" which has 32,000 HP and 16,000 MP. Intangir is the worst leveling ground around - 0 EXP, 0 gil, but it does give 10 magic points (the forest on the southern continent is much faster than even this). If it weren't for the annoying damage limit, I might be doing 12,000+ damage to it. It would be so much more fun if this game had no damage limit at all.

  • Great job utilizing the gaming systems! Let me know if you plan on streaming again, and I'd love to see it

  • I've been wanting to stream on Livestream for a long time (months now), but overlay or audio-video synchronization is the only thing stopping from doing it. If you can kindly tell me how to disable overlay either systemwide or in my TV tuner's software (I have the "AVerMedia Hybrid TV Volar MAX" TV tuner (exact string), if that helps). Disable overlay and I'll be back at streaming again.

  • Besides myself, you are one of a few that has the patience to do any kind of major grinding. I have another challenge for you. Try doing a completionist game...all rages, items, spells, etc. The only restriction...no excessive level grinding! =P

  • I'm not that kind of player and, thus, it won't happen. I never go for 100% in RPGs.

  • Merton Junk? Just have fire nullifying or better, absorbing equipment and you will like it..

  • Dude, your voice sounds like Mr. Garrison from South Park.

  • @kaiser5676 i was going to say the same thing......when properly equipped, it can be a really damm good spell.

  • Dude the esper that carries ultima is ragnarok... but that is only in the wor.

  • Too bad level 100 doesn't unlock a cure for Aspergers Syndrome

  • The Dino forest east of Narshe is the best exp in the game. You can get everyone experience eggs and marvel shoes pretty easily with a few colosseum battles to make it even faster.

  • I've just powerleveled instead, learning magic while at it. There's an enemy in a certain desert in the second world that gives 10 magic points and another that gives 5, the fastest magic learning around.

  • @audiolols You can also learn Ultima from the Paladin Shield (Ultima x1). I prefer this method because betting the Ragnarok sword at the colosseum and winning gets you Illuminaire- the best sword in the game (for fighters, it always crits using magic; for magic users, it offers massive stat buffs). You only need to win 255 battles while equipping the Cursed Shield to unlock the Paladin Shield. Takes ~1hr spamming the suicidal rats on the first island in WoR.

  • @ulillillia Merton is not junk! Equip your party members with Fire shields and use merton! You get an insane magic attack combined with a Cure 3/Curaga spell on your characters! It's an amazing strat
