The original BR Nameplates read Owen Glendower, the English spelling. The Welsh spelling is "Owain Glyndwyr" and that is what you see in this video which is not a nameplate but a painted on name because the original nameplates had been removed.
Spotted this locomotive many times on the WCML back in the day. I agree about the nameplates but still sad to see them removed. A good piece of video clip. 789959.
