In 1999 after six months of hospital stays for an unknown illness for a variety of symptoms my grandmother was diagnosed for cancer. Her last incident along with the prognosis was enough of a concern that the entire clan all seven of her children and her grandchildren flew or drove out to see her.

It was perfect timing because on my second day there she went into a coma. It would be our last time with her corporal form. This series follows our family sharing stories of a woman we all loved dearly. Yes, you will see some tears, but mostly a lot of laughter and love.

Estrelia (Macute) Echavez also took on the names Gubisch and Salaver had seven children from two marriages: Pat, Dorothy (Dotti/Dot), Edna (Vidda), Alice (Vinella), Luna, Tim, and David. There are 16 grandkids and now 8 or 9 great grandchildren.
