He was originally told by Disney that the entire song would be used. However, after signing the rights to Disney to use his works, they decided to only use part of the piece, which Stravinsky thought was an insult, because he believed the piece should be heard in its entirety, not just in excerpt of it. He simply wanted people to hear his whole music, not just a chunk of it, because that doesn't do it any justice. If you think about it, what Disney did was misleading and insulting, but smart.
