@xxESPx Gov't corruption is what holds most of the third world SECTIONS of countries down. I mean, check out the wealth in Dubai, India. Do you actually believe they cannot provide basic necessities such clean water? What about all the foreign aid we send to these countries? Their leaders laugh at us all the way to the bank. These people are oppressed by their country's leaders, as well as all the other starving and deprived people. We can't save the world...and we can't police the world.

Look at how the people in third world countries live. Ever think that they're in far more dire need for even the most basic of resources? The U.S. is in bad shape, but no where near that level of poverty.

I was wondering, does Matt Damon do anything to address our problems here in the US? Many celebs can be found in other countries supposedly making a difference. All I see is their pretty faces taking a photo op to ask everyone to send THEIR money to help. Hopefully someone can refer me to a video of Damon trying to bring awareness to issues in the US...God knows we have plenty of our own problems. And please don't defend him if you can't do so.

Matt is a good guy who is using his celebrity status to make a difference and help people which he has. He doesn't need to go to places like this to get publicity. Matt is making a difference and you can tell that this is something he really cares about. Other celebrities like George Clooney and Brad Pitt are also out there trying to help really poor people. George Clooney has caught Malaria twice from going to these places and he still goes back. I guess he must need the publicity too. John
