Kobe scores 45 Vs Spurs 2001 WCF

Coming off a 48pt 16rb performance in game 4 vs Sacramento, Kobe just didn't stop. In front of 36 000 Spurs fans, he simply played one of his greatest games. His 7 straight baskets in the 1st half help his team to take the lead. Torching the Spurs and impressing his own teammates, Kobe scored 28pts, recorded 5 dunks in the 2nd half. He finished with 45pts & 10rbds. At the end of the game, Shaq told the journalists something to remember: "I told Kobe he was my idol. I'm serious. He's playing phenomenal basketball. When the Lakers walked into this series, most of the "experts" in the media picked the Spurs. The Spurs had won the regular season series 3-1, and many Laker fans (including myself) were concerned because the Lakers (even with Shaq) had a matchup problem with the Spurs 'twin towers" inside.

Bottomline: Spurs 01 were one the top teams. No one expected Kobe to have some of these monster games, and no one expected Derek Fisher (injured half the season) to suddenly everything from 3pt land.

the reason why kobe's game is better then lebron's is because kobe put up big numbers in a few games in a row comin off of his 1st championship when he had one of the best finals games ever and then would go on to win his second championship...lebron's was just a great game nothing extra to add to the legend of it
