Northwest DC9-30 taking off at DTW bound for DFW. Registration N606NW. The aircraft was originally delivered to Alitalia in 1968! 39 years old. The child sitting behind me is enjoying his first flight. You can see his enthusiasm!

  • Nice vid. Flew IND-MCO on N606NW Dec 2007

  • This DC-9 was deregistered in August 2008.

  • very nice vid!!!

  • Great video! I love NWA. Check out some of my NW videos!

  • Gr8 vid i can imagine how exited that kid is, i remember my first time when i was about seven it was amazing. I got to fly on a BAC-111 of european airlines back in 1996 or somethin like that.

  • woow. 1968 i was in the 5th grade.i love these old planes. anyone know why nw still has the old md9s.anyway i hope to fly in one someday again.cool vid, and how long was the flight.

  • I will miss this plane alot. One of the stuff I like is obviously engine sound and power. And also I used to like to sit in front (like where the camera person is sitting), because DC-9 takes off with such a steep angle so that you really feel flying in jet fighter or something. Good memories.

  • how many flights youve been on so far?

  • Cool perspective!
