I guess, because it can be random, it comes down to grace...
And though it may appear a person has done nothing, in fact, may have done much in a subtle way. Then there is the interconnectivity of everything. If I awaken, then the ripples of that goes through the entire creation.

...there are no seekers. It is. All is and seekers are not. People do not awaken, there are no people. There is no awakening, seeing presence in the present, which is all there is, is what is called liberation. Nisargadatta said it best: "Liberation is not of a person, it is from a person."....the IT is what is liberated, the person is not. There are no persons...
