  • Lance is right, that is why I always put my plants where they will be in the sun all the day long ....... the hotter, the better.

  • Hey friend, great vids :) Would you mind if I pick your brain a bit? I'm growing some peppers indoors (see my latest vid) and they are starting to fruit now. I'm eventually going to move them outside maybe in early june because I'm in Canada so it gets warm a bit later on. My question is, in the meantime do you think I might have to water it a bit more frequent once its starting to give fruit? I"d guess it would use more water. I water at the moment once a week.

  • @svtcontour .... You need to listen to your plants. Let them go awhile without water to see how long they take to wilter, and then you will get a idea of when then need watering. The hotter it is, the more water then will need.

  • @unojrcan Ah I see. Ok so its ok if they wilt a little between waterings...even if they are in the fruiting process. I will keep an eye on them then :) I have never tried a Jolokia by the way so I have no idea what I'm getting myself into. An Orange hab is the hottest I've tried just fresh and that was damn hot but I'm sure its nothing compared to these bad boys.

  • @svtcontour ..... There's nothing to compair to the hotness that the ghost pepper has, but this taste is just as bad !!! It taste like burnt fire !!! I'm going back to the Red Sal. Habanero's just because of the taste. They taste so much better than the ghost. I have a doz of them growing now ....

  • Wat u need to do is make u up a make shift tent using a tarp. put the plants in there and use a 60 to 100 watt light blub to keep it warm inside the tent. As long as you keep it above freezing, your be ok.

  • @Mirewood Mine turned out great. Sounds like maybe overwatering in your case. I usually let the top 1" of soil get totally dry before watering again. Also make sure your pot or containers are well drained so the bottom is not staying soggy or anything. Let me know how things go :)

  • i grew a passion for growing peppers

  • They seem really nice, maybe not to eat. I tried to grow them but no luck. dont know if you can help but im having trouble even knowing what im growing at the moment

  • Nice Ghosts. I grow them up here in Idaho. I take mine down in the basement, under a 1000 watt grow light, all winter. Same with my Jalapenos and Serranos.

I grew up in San Diego, where they grow all year. We had peppers littering the drive way! Gotta do what you gotta do, if you want fresh peppers all year.

  • @lance85xyz you should have no problems with temp their natural environment is assem india. And i have grown them in north indiana for 3 years now the only problem is storms i have to put a hard plastic dome over my plants in heavy storms or they get torn to pieces amd dust them with lemon powder to keep bugs from eating them and the hotter the climate the hotter the peppers.

  • how many seeds do you plants in one pot and let grow, one? or more than one to a pot?

  • ok look i had 25 seedling ghost peppers ready for the garden and everything was perfect the peppers where just the right hight like 7 in then i put them on my top deck and turned my head and they were gone ): they feell 36 feet to the ground and none of them survived ); thumbs up so other peple wont forget to not turn there backs on there peppers

  • nice vids, im huge fan of hot peppers and planning to plant the hottest peppers but im from Philippines, the temp here is 30'C or even hotter. i want to ask what is the ideal temp for hot peppers, thanks.

  • I want some of them jolokiasI got a few recipes that use them!
