This ORIGINAL Budweiser is from Ceske Budjovice, Czech Republic. It's utterly ironic that it's NOT ALLOWED by to be called Budvar here in Canada because some American brewery says it might be confused with their King of Pi$$ - an imposter that doesn't even resemble to the slightest! Why why why do people still get their 6 packs of pi$$ on a regular basis?!?! Perhaps it's marketing and branding or being brain washed. Don't they have taste buds?!?!
The beer has a beautiful light bronze colour with a flowery, floral, biscuity nose. The medium body beer offers smooth bubbles and yet it's clean, crisp and clean. With more floral, honey, sweet malt beautifully mixed with a focused, clean, skunky bitterness (Saaz hop). The finish is sweet and bitter again with subtle complexity. This beer is suitable to be drunk on a typical hot summer day, after a hearty run or can be drunk with a good Chinese hot pot or with a good Indian Butter Chicken! Beer don't have to be dark and heavy. Wines don't have to be red and robust. Whisky do not have to be smokey and heavily casked. There is always an occasion to savour a gem like this! • I LOVE YOU MAN, but you don't taste nothing if you don't taste Krausened Budvar - much better version of Budweiser Budwar, much better than Pilsner. I know what I say, I'm very sophisticated beer-lover from Czech, land of beer, strictly speaking from Budweis (České Budějovice).

  • WAAAAAAAAAA!!! I can't get it here in BC, Canada. I will try to see if I can get any from the USA?!?! You are a very lucky guy!

  • Great - I like them (Original Budvar and original Guiness) both a lot. Instead of swapping. Drink them both! Now I guess the Budejovicky budvar you mentioned is really the same as what I am tasting which is the original budweiser from Ceske Budjovice. Am I correct to say that?

  • The original Budweiser Bier or Budweiser Bürgerbräu, was founded in 1785 in Budweis, Bohemia, which at the time was part of the Holy Roman Empire. The company began exporting to the US in 1871[2]. [3]. In the U.S., Anheuser-Busch started using the Budweiser brand in 1876 and registered it two years later.

  • Excellent piece of historical fact and comment. Thank you very much for contributing. Sip on! Na zdraví!

  • I was born in Ceske Budejovice. Your pronunciation is even better than mine after a few Budvars :) Budweiser is the best beer on the world. The only one real Budweiser. Americans have no right to call their frothless piss Budweiser. This beer can be made only in Ceske Budejovice, because there are special 300 meters deep water wells called Arthesian wells. These were drilled in 1922 and contains highly pure and quality water. Using this water during production of the beer gets Budvar THAT TASTE

  • @michaelyblam You don't know how to taste beer, but nice pronunciation of Ceske Budejovice ;-) I suggest you to NOT roll the beer in your mouth while tasting otherwise you make in your mouth foam! That's no good. You're tasting it like wine - that's no good.

  • @byWondra Many beers aren't available here.

  • You Man are great. You really have a knowledge. Yes Budějovický Budvar or Budweiser Budvar is really great beer, original, not like that funny american coloured lemonade.

  • Yeah you know you cheat sir...I taste it it is divine but even better in draft at U picasou downton prague

  • You don't use wine tasting methods to taste beer. Swirling and slurping are for wine!!! NOT BEER!!! HELP!!!

  • @Malda123

Ty nemuzes bejt rodilej Budejcak, protoze bys pak nemohl napsat ten patvar s "i"

  • Czech beer is very good

  • czech beer are beest in the world

  • ironic: is distributed in USA by Anheuser-Busch

  • Being a czech and being a beer lover, I'll ad something...

Tapping. It makes half of the taste. You can't have REALLY good beer unless it is tapped AND by someone skilled, using the right equipment. While beer is usually worse when bottled, it can happen that if they tap it and do it wrong with bad equipment, it may be even worse.. So you gotta find a right pub with skilled barman.

It is not snobism. This is beer and not vine - it really makes huge difference in taste.
