This song really speaks to me as someone who has Asperger's Syndrome- I didn't get the diagnosis until I was 17, so I spent my entire childhood with everybody saying "What's wrong with this kid?" This song says a lot about what it's like to be different and trying to fit in and find your place in life when you don't see the world the same way as everyone else. As such, I think it's one of the most beautiful songs Ms. Amos has ever written, and that's saying something.
