During this special edition of Applause, Cleveland Orchestra Music Director Franz Welser-Most appeared before a live studio audience at the Idea Center in Playhouse Square for a discussion about the orchestra, and his role as leader.
This user is the person who asked Mr. Welser-Most that question. It was an honor to speak with him. Hopefully, I will have the opportunity to meet him in the near future.
uhm...what is he trying to add again? I guess the Cleveland orchestra doesn't really "sing" or play music. As far as I know they have a tradition of not only technical prowess but of european sensitivity and musicality as well...not to mention that was szell's goal...even they're last director was a European. What is this guy talking about??
