"On April 11, 2012 Howard Rheingold joined Mamie Rheingold in a conversation about his latest book, Net Smart: How to Thrive Online.
Like it or not, knowing how to make use of online tools without being overloaded with too much information is an essential ingredient to personal success in the twenty-first century. But how can we use digital media so that they make us empowered participants rather than passive receivers, grounded, well-rounded people rather than multitasking basket cases? In Net Smart, cyberculture expert Howard Rheingold shows us how to use social media intelligently, humanely, and, above all, mindfully."

Alright there! Have you thought about - Supreme Panic Magic (google it)? Ive heard some decent things about it and my sister after a lifetime of fighting said good bye the panic breakdowns with it.

One of the best on abundance of data, information, and knowledge. Especially the mention that flooding of information leeds to human creativity to find ways to cope with it. It happened to me and others in #Dresden back in 2002, when water flooded the city. Amazing things using technology could happen. 10 years later the flood is the Web that is reaching us, and again unbelievable things happen. Mindfulness about what may be relevant of all this overwhelming information, can be trained :)

When Mr Rheingold talks about those bogus websites - I was wondering if he's familiar with the culture of trolling and poeing. I think the term 'Poe's Law' is used more now when something is an elaborate bluff... Rather than the original use of the term.
