tibus, Frankie Lee was a family man. He had a wife and kids. He also owned and ran a pet store in Houston area. At the Time this record was recorded he worked at a lounge owned by the son of Joe DiMiggieo of New York Yankies fame. The other record I know of was recorded on International Artist label. If you go to search box and type in "I Love The Gogo Girls" the other record should come up. In a way when I knew him he was more a Goggelo, had several rich women paying for things for him.
@acoetex23 Wow,thanks. Sounds quite a guy. Never knew anything about him only this record and,I'm pretty certain, another on this Paisano label. Last saw a copy of the other about 4 yrs ago on ebay. I'm not sure what the songs were,or if Frankie was on both sides of that particular 45.....tough to remember. This 45 sold to me as "Houston blues" at about the same time. Will google the other you mention. Thanks and feel free to post more.
I knew Frankie when this record was made. He was a great friend. I meet him after his other record I know of was big in Houston. I Love the Gogo Girls.
@acoetex23 Can you post some more info? I saw another record Frankie had released on the same label and I came close to buying a copy a few years back. Other than that my knowledge of the man is zero.
