Speaking at the 2010 CLC Harrison Winter School, Jim Sinclair speaks on the history and importance of pensions. Sorry I didn't get the whole talk.

  • For every employee in Canada between the ages of 18 and 70, the employer and the employee each pay half of the cost. Because it is mandatory for all, and covers the working lifetime of Canadians, the result is a very large pool of money with relatively low immediate cost to each person.
