1. Fat is light and fluffy where as muscle is dense and heavy. A body with heavy muscle works harder during cardio exercise than a body covered in light fat. Working harder means more calories burned!!
2. Since muscle is much heavier, a muscular body will have a higher metabolism all day long as the body requires more work to keep that body going.
3. When muscles are worked, they lean out and take shape, giving a body the toned look everyone desires.
