on the 2.2.1 apps always say you need to update to the iphone 3.0 software, doing what you say in your video and doing so, will it then work?

@hussein807 Updating is only filling some gaps (For example security updates in XP) and upgrading is going to a new version (For example going from XP to Vista).

Not in the beta I was using... This is way back from the beta released months ago. The one you downloaded through iTunes, of course YouTube works.
