Vikings at Colts (preseason week 1) 2009

Vikings went to Indy and tested their players. I think the QB competition will deserve comment after the KC game (where Jackson will have a chance to start), but Rosenfels looked decent. Too many checkdowns to TE/RB in my opinion, but the offense moved the ball.

The defense will be better than usual this year, which is saying something.

No obvious mistakes from new starting center John Sullivan.
Phil Loadholt looks better than Cook already, but there's room for improvement.
Albert Young vs Ian Johsnon looked pretty close.
WR battle saw Glenn Holt making ST plays and keeping his name in the mix.
Backup DTs look respectable.

Chiefs up next!

(I apologize for the clips being taped from a tv screen. It's ugly, but I'm working on a solution for that. Things will get a little easier when we finally move into the house we're in the process of buying.)

Nice intro & even better closing. I wouldn't say that first play by Jackson is indicitive of how he will be lets wait & see & give him a chance. Defense looked SICK!

That's what I saw too. I went Augst 1st and 7th, and it was obviously bad on the 1st. I saw at least 3 passes to Kleinsasser in one practice.

I had to go to the bars last year to watch them because I was living in Colorado. I'm thankful I live in Minnesota now!

Don't forget that Booty was starting over Sanchez at USC. I think he's got a good chance to be a quality QB in the NFL, it just might take a few years.

Your lucky you get to see them on TV. I wish i could see it. I would go to the bar but im only 15, I saw some of the plays. I personally think Sage will be the better starter because he has more of a brain that Jackson. I still would like to see Booty, even though i know he didn't do well last year.
