Dont get me wrong, Mr Shears did a smashing job of a most underrated EJ album track, but he sang a lyric wrong at the end - the last chorus he sang "i have a real good time" whereas EJ actually substitutes it here for "i have a heart of gold"
EJ doesn't play this song live nearly enough! Your Song and Rocket Man are classics but so mass market compared to the best EJ songs, usually album tracks - like most recording artists in fact!

Well, his voice is OK. But I kind of agree with rockermad -- he sucks because he is annoying to watch. (Not hatin', just tellin' the truth.)
Maybe it is because I would much rather have seen Elton singing this song.
Don't know who this guy Jake is, and don't really understand why he is on the stage, but if you like him, more power to you. I don't.

What an amazing song. Overshadowed by the other giants on the album, but this is my favourite. I personally think Jake Shears does a great job. Thanks for the post

Rockermad, you havent got a f***ing clue wot you are talkin about, Jake Shears has got an amazing voice. So you can just shut the f**k up, ok !!! LOSER !!! Wot would you know anyway !
Thats why he is singing with Elton John, so dont even try to talk about somethin that you know nothing about !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
