  • Hello I have been wanting to do a mod just like yours. If you have the dimensions of the sump and a schematic to give out that would be great. Thanks in advance.

  • @HooligansORC Hey, check your inbox, I'm going to send you a private message.

  • awesome setup! hey question though.....i have a 10 gallon halfmoon tank...will this nano overflow work for my tank? How big is your sump? 20gallon? What power head should i buy for my return pump? Thanks man!!! I'm a noobie at this and still trying to learn things. -mario

  • @fauxhawkid Thanks! do u have a reef tank? or just salt water fish? My sump is custom made by me, i think its about 13 gallons (a regular 10 gallon tank wont fit inside my tank.) I dont know the setup of your system, so i cant tell you what you need exactly.

  • Dude take that custom filter out and use the refugium chatomorpha, protein skimmer and a 3-4 inch deep sand bed... And you wont have to change your water for at least 6 months to a year... Filter is going to be come a nitrate factory....

  • @gangstacito i clean/replace the filter on a weekly basis.

  • Well if you dont mind it then ok :)

  • @sweetrunnin personally the hydor seltz is fine for me. the flow isnt really strong when it comes out of the return. im not looking for something really powerful. Maybe a pump that does 400 GPH may be better for you. I like the Hydor because it runs really quiet. No vibration and virtually silent.

  • I like your setup, I'm actually in the process of doing some of the same things you have done. (Is it ok if I use your setup as an inspiration?) I was looking at return pumps rated for 700gph+ but you said your return pump is a hydor seltz l30 which is 320gph, does this push enough water for your liking? Good job though!

  • @my1941willys will do!
