@wycliffetranslator i understand why you may want to think that this song is about God but that doesnt really make sense when considering the bible only mentions two individuals becoming one when its relating husband and wives. I personally think it is a love song, but thats music for you. its up to you how you interpret it.

this video is suuper sad but i think it takes away from the deeper meaning of the song, at least to me. I listen to this song and i think of all the times that i stray away from the Lord's presence and when i do that my whole world falls apart. i can see someone interpreting the words to the meaning of being away from a loved one but the greater and deeper meaning is being away from the lord's presence to me.
