Kalamazoo River Oil Spill July 2010

An oil pipeline broke at the Enbridge Energy company leading oil to leak into the Kalamazoo River. Cleanup is underway, but the oil is moving fast downstream, and headed for Lake Michigan. The smell is very strong near the river down by County Park where this video was taken.

I would love to see you oil haters that have nothing positive to say, figure out how to make this world continue operating with out natural resources that the good Lord provided for us! Wind,, Thats the biggest waste of Land! Each windmill needs 2 acres of land! You can't put a block valve every 100 ft on a pipleine without paying 35.00 per gallon of gas! Accidents happen. EPA now estimates 1,000,000+ Barrels. According to the Endbrige website their pipeline 6B moves 190,000 barrels per day. Now even saying if 100% of the oil moving through it was spillt from the rupture point (probably not even 100%) it would take at last 4 days for a response to shut the line down. THAT'S 4 FUCKING DAYS OF PRESSURE ALARMS! AND THAT'S "IF" THE DAMN LEAK WAS AT 100% FLOW! WAKE THE FUCK UP PEOPLE!
