Why arent there any recent (within the last decade) videos of Rickson rolling? I hear of top fighters training with him and would love to see the tapes.

@hazard2000 Sparring is light combat for the purpose of technique and figuring out what works for you, grappling or hitting, btw submission grappling HAHAHA people usually call submission wrestling, or BJJ or rolling.

sparring = fight practice. so if there's no grappling in boxing when they practice is it not sparring either? (rhetorical question). That's still sparring

Sparring just means simulating any kind of attack for training purposes..know your shit faggot.

Because if you eliminate the punches you start to rely on technique. Also its not practical to get punched in the face every time you practice your Jiu-jitsu with someone. Its easy to add punching into the mix during a fight but impossible to just throw in technique. If you want to watch rolling with punching watch MMA.

I videotaped this. It was from a seminar in Chicago done March 11(?) 1994. It was the day after Kurt Cobain died actually. the seminar was put on by a hapkido guy named Kellar.
