@erikvarese Color is what the customer chose for his car; we decided to make the videos to show the candy process since it is more extensive than a base/clear.

do you then spray a clear coat over the red ? i was told that candy apple red does not have a clear coat sprayed after its done

@MrCohibaboy IF i'm correct, the candy red is mixed with the clearcoat.

@MrCohibaboy Several coats of clear are applied over the red to seal and protect it. You can see the clear being applied in part 5 of this series. The clear really deepens the richness of the candy. Typically the only paint job that would not get a clear coat is single stage which is rarely sprayed these days due to the protective benefits of clear coat.

@Sandor159 really wow mixed in together with the red , does the paint have a long lasting weather effect , doesnt paint last longer if the clear coat was done last on the outside ?
