@daveykeez You can think of destructive recording like recording to tape. If you record over the same track with audio already on it it will record right over it and your previous audio is gone. Basically how it sounds it destroys the prevously recorded audio to whatever new audio you record over it.

@daveykeez With regular record mode, non destructive, you can record over some audio and will be able to retreave the previously recorded audio in full. You can utilize it to save disk space and not keep so many audio files or if you know the previously recorded take was bad.
