  • @8thstreetplayhouse Watch again. In the final cut of the film the carrage is seen moving only briefly as it approaches a stationary camera. The film then cuts to the scene where Melinda is helped from the carrage. However, in this trailer the camera moves along with the carrage and then you get a fantastic long-shot of the carrage and the Royal Pavillion, all of which were lost in the final cut of the film.

Had they not cut this film to pieces it would have been spectacular.

  • @GanjaStuPipesUp yes! and I actually enjoyed the movie! if this was the real the trailer, now I understand why people didn't watch it...

  • This is one of Barbra's best films besides Funny Girl. All the people who think this trailer sucks are really crazy.

  • on a clear day, all I can see is this record in the trash.

  • Apologies for the repetition - there was no message to say that the comment had been successfully posted..

  • @ Ganja: Agreed; it's a terribly random trailer, and doesn't sell the film well at all. I'm confused about your comment re the scene shot outside the Royal Pavilion, however, as it is, indeed, in the final cut...

  • If this was the actual trailer then I'm not surprised the film wasn't a hit; it's REALLY random & doesn't look at all professional. However, it does contain a nice long shot from the flash-back sequence taken outside the Royal Pavillion that didn't make it into the final cut of the film (my kindom for a director's cut, I'll bet Barbra has one tucked away somewhere!)

  • *SPOILER* After Dr. Marc puts her under one more time she "remembers" another life where they were together--but the kicker is that she's "remembering" a future life that hasn't happened yet. He sings "On A Clear Day" to her, trying to get her to accept & love herself in the here and now. She says "See ya later" and leaves--but as she goes, she has a psychic flash-forward implying that she knows they'll be together someday, reprising "On A Clear Day" surrounded by blooming flowers, at peace.

  • can someone please explain the ending to me? Thanks

  • Based on the genres, the style, the plot and all, i should love this film. But, just got through watching a little over half of it on Netflix, and for some reason, I hate it! I usually like musicals and such, but this one was just a drag for me, ans I'm almost sorry I even gave it a chance! And, that's saying a lot, considering I usually like all the movies I chose to watch at least a little! But, maybe I'm just not a Barbra fan; come to think of it, I didn't even really like "Funny Girl." = (
