Bill Maher interviews some of religion's oddest adherents. Muslims, Jews and Christians of many kinds pass before his jaundiced eye. Maher goes to a Creationist Museum in Kentucky, which shows that dinosaurs and people lived at the same time 5000 years ago. He talks to truckers at a Truckers' Chapel. (Sign outside: "Jesus love you.") He goes to a theme park called Holy Land in Florida. He speaks to a rabbi in league with Holocaust deniers. He talks to a Muslim musician who preaches hatred of Jews. Maher finds the unlikeliest of believers and, in a certain Vatican priest, he even finds an unlikely skeptic. Written by J. Spurlin

@BeefPapa I'm not inventing, I don't know what happened, but at least in that book John identifies himself as the one whom Jesus loved. In any case you may be right. I never studied this things in depth.

those guys were not his disciples. they were gospel writers. they never met jesus. you are the one inventing a religion as you go along.

I lost my faith when I was 10. When a priest came into our classroom to talk to us and said "You should become a priest, there's great money in it" and he gave me a sly wink. From then on I have doubted everything in that faith and I will never go back.That was such a liberating outcome that freed up my mind to go beyond the narrow thinking of 1 God and 1 religion.Now I have no faith and no superstition and I am all the better for it
