Recorded using gtk-recordMyDesktop

Quick question: The screencast application used takes too many system resources, does anyone know of any better ones? Thanks in advance.

  • @Dannyri101 I'll post a screencast for you!

  • Hmmm I'm a Ubuntu newbie(recently switched from windows((We had to have windows because it's the only platform a particular program we need for business will run on))

And Linux apparently downloads and installs things in a very different way. So I don't know if I even have Synaptic. My update manager looks like the one that you were using...

  • @Dannyri101 Obvious question - have you installed the application through Synaptic? If you haven't then this will be the issue!

  • I think I got it installed--- but I can't find it...

I think I messed up because I tried doing it myself before looking for a tutorial-- I keep checking for updates and it isn't finding any.

  • I know. I find this incredibly annoying because I think that the selection of default programs in 9.04 was excellent. The lack of Pidgin was an annoyance in 9.10.

But I suppose they have to change something!

  • they're going to take out more apps.
