They just can't believe in this day and age that anyone can think like this young man. He must be lying in their estimation-which say's alot about who they are. They have never met anyone like him. He loves the Lord and his Mother and has morals and convictions that he learned in church. How sad.

Clay & Diane have been friends since he first became famous. I'm sure they talked about this interview beforehand & knew exactly how he was going to answer the big question. She was playing Devil's Advocate (her job as a journalist) in order to let him say what he needed to say about the media being extremely rude to celebrities & his sex life being nobody's business but his own. And it is. He was never mad at her & even gave her his big "coming out" interview. This interview was planned.

so he wasn't ready to say...big deal. if u were gay and getting blistered by the media, and u weren't ready to come out, how do u think any of u would react? i think he handled it very well. if he wasn't ready to admit it, he wasn't going to say it, but besides a couple interviews, he never directly answered the question. and what does it matter? did u become a fan of his sexuality, or his MUSIC? what he's attracted to is his business, it doesn't affect me. does it really affect any of u?

Clay doesn't owe anyone any explanations.He is a very sensible person&whether or not he decided to come out doesnt change that.His sexual preference is not anyone's business but his.Maybe he wasnt totally sure about it all these years or something.I'm pretty sure every gay person at one point or another has said "I'm not gay".Either way it's his business.Leave the guy alone. He wasnt leading anyone on, he was just being cryptic about it because it's NOBODY'S BUSINESS!Give me a frickin break

Like you noritagar, I felt the same way about Clay. Now, I'm very disappointed and let down. The way he's "out" and so talkative about himself now is so sad because instead of hinting that he was "not gay" in his intervies, he led alot of people on that he was straight and of Godly character. I'm no longer a fan and his cd's are in the trash. I'm glad he still has fans to support his works. I just have to shake my head at the whole thing.
