They're not soldiers, anymore than airmen are soldiers or sailors are soldiers. It's like calling a car mechanic a banana. The names are different, not interchangeable.

@USMCborn2kill but when they are paid from the state, then they easily soldires, too. might be that thats a thing of respect, but they are soldiers anyway. deify them if you want to, but viewed soberly, they are soldiers, too.

@0099ffgg No, they are Marines, they are a compleatly different breed of men (and women).
Once a soldier leaves their branch of service they become just like everyone else.
After a Marine has finished their service, they remain a Marine for life(and then some)
