We already have a progressive income tax rate, and the top 1% pay 37% of total income taxes. How much more progressive do the Dems want it to be? Well, the answer is "the sky's the limit". There will never be a day when the Dems aren't lobbying for "just one more little tax hike". Like the poisonous snake that bites, the Dems can't help themselves; taxes/big govt are the essence of who they are.

Just to clear something up, I voted for Obama and I'm in the top tax bracket. I did it because human life is worth far more than a few extra bucks in my pocket. If my taxes go up 3%, I will still be able to buy whatever I like but if we elected another Republican, then we would be losing even more lives. I choose life over money pal, that's patriotic!

Its a great deal for the privately owned Federal Reserve and the bankers loaning this money to the government — that is to say, funny money created out of thin air. As it now stands we are having a tough time even paying the interest on these loans, let alone touching the principle. In fact, in order to pay this interest the government has to borrow even more money, thus seriously compounding the indebtedness. Of course, the bankers set it up this way, so wed be in debt forever.
