the frame rate is really awful... and it's very unfortunate that the western movie industry is only capable of either churning out rather superficial animated family movies OR radically reduced productions such as this one. nothing in between. while if you take a look at e.g. tekkon kinkreet, paprika, etc., there are mature, deep stories and no compromises regarding visual quality.
