Michigan storm chasers intercept the Wenona-to-Kankakee supercell that resulted significant damage to a couple of Illinois towns by EF0-EF3 Tornadoes. Footage shows the EF2 tornado on the ground actively damaging the town of Streator, IL. As well as the EF3 near Blackstone, IL in Livingston and LaSalle counties.

2 hours of video edited down to a mere 8 minutes. Evolution of this storm from an organized MESO to phases of cyclic Tornado development. Night time video clips are only illuminated by moments of power flashes or lightning strikes near or behind the wall cloud or funnel. This is the reason that though this tornado may have been on the ground for more than a total of 30 minutes or longer, it resulted in only a few seconds of exposure.

Streator IL sustained serious damage by this tornado, while Dwight, IL later received another round of damage by the same storm. This wasn't the same tornado, rather 2 different cycles within the same supercell storm that we Managed to follow over 50 miles of Illinois prairie.

Music provided by Shawn Gavan and Jay Gavan, my 2 brothers. Shawn is also my chase partner on this trip.
