Primitive in what nature? Sure we are poor, but when discussing lesson in ethics, faith, honor, respect, virtue and so on...America is one of the poorest nations on Earth. Switzerland is one of the most insignificant nations in human history. If not for our geographical location and the greedy nations of the world who constantly (throughout history) have invaded us for our land, we would have been just fine.
